About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in the production of high-quality precision machined components. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their machining team.

\n

The Role

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join a busy machine shop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC vertical machining centres, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n
    \n
  • Programme and operate CNC vertical machining centres
  • \n
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • \n
  • Translate instructions into machine programmes
  • \n
  • Prepare and load raw materials and components onto machines
  • \n
  • Carry out test runs to ensure programmes produce components to specification
  • \n
  • Set machines to complete full production cycles
  • \n
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required
  • \n
  • Inspect and measure finished components against specifications
  • \n
  • Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance
  • \n
  • Comply with all company procedures and safety requirements
  • \n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Operator
  • \n
  • Experience with FANUC controls
  • \n
  • Experience with CAD/CAM Software (Fusion 360 desirable)
  • \n
  • Experience operating CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Good mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail
  • \n
  • Good communication skills
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently
  • \n
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • \n
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required
  • \n
\n

Desirable:

  • CAD/CAM knowledge
  • \n
  • Engineering qualification, certificate or diploma
  • \n
\n
