Electrician – Social Housing (EICR & Remedial Works) Location: Westminster, London Salary: £45,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team, delivering EICR testing, fault finding, and remedial works across social housing properties in Westminster and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects and non-compliances, and completing remedial works to ensure properties are safe and compliant with current regulations. This role involves working in both occupied and void properties, requiring excellent technical skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities * Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in social housing properties. * Identify and diagnose electrical faults and defects. * Complete remedial works arising from EICR findings. * Undertake minor installation, maintenance, and repair works. * Ensure all work complies with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations. * Accurately complete certification and compliance documentation. * Maintain high standards of health and safety. * Deliver excellent customer service when working in residents' homes. * Manage workload effectively to meet performance and compliance targets. Essential Requirements * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent). * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification. * Proven experience carrying out EICRs and remedial works. * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. * Full UK Driving Licence. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication and customer service skills.
