We have an exciting opportunity for the Head of Finance, UK and Ireland based at our West Sussex office.Reporting to the GM UK & Ireland, the Head of Finance will be a key member of the UK Leadership Team responsible for ensuring the management of Finance (Finance Business Controlling and Accounting) deliverables and critical finance business partnering required to support and steer the business. As the Head of Finance, UK & Ireland, you will also:Ensure accurate and timely financial planning (StratPlanning, Budget, Forecasts), reporting, data and analysis. Provide financial support to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures. Manage an accounting system in both local GAAP and AIFRS which guarantees the accurate presentation of results for CSL Behring UK Ltd, CSL Behring Holdings Ltd and CSL UK Holdings Ltd with a potential opportunity to manage the sustainable carve-out of the accounting function to a Shared Service Centre as part of a wider EU Operations project to implement a dedicated Finance Business Partnering capability (Business ControllingYour key accountabilities will include:Lead and manage the Finance Team and to translate the affiliate and functional priorities into work plans and annual appraisals for all team members.Provide business support to the UK Commercial Operations Management Team on sales performance, pricing, operating expenses, capital investment and IT decisions.Analyse and present financial data at monthly and other meetings and to provide acommentary on progress versus budgets and forecastsEnsure timely submission of budgets and forecast in line with the corporate timetable.Ensure timely closing of the books in FinanceCore and submission of other monthly and quarterly schedulesBe the point of contact for internal and external auditorsAct as Company Secretary and maintain directors’ and other registers. Submission of annual returns.Be responsible for the following external reporting:Statutory accounting (including share-based payments and taxation disclosures).Annual Corporation tax return and calculation of disallowable and deferred income and expense.HMRC share rights, share options and employee share scheme reportingYour qualification, skills and experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirableAccounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or international equivalent)Professional certification (CPA/CA) preferred10 years' experience in accounting including managing budgeting, planning and forecasting processesDemonstrated leadership/management experienceSignificant experience in accounting, taxes, reporting and controlling, preferably in an international commercial environmentSolid financial Reporting and Internal Control experienceExperience of working within a pharmaceutical or biotech industry is highly desirableSignificant cross-functional leadership/management experience.
