HG Recruitment are looking for HGV Drivers Class 1 and Class 2 for ongoing work involving a mixture of multidrop and trunking work for our client based in Crewe. The role involves clean and straightforward delivery to distribution centres. It would be working for a very well established parcel delivery company.

• Class 1 Driver days £15.11 or £16.93 (approx. £831.05 weekly , circa £43,214.60 per annum)
\n
• Class 1 Driver nights £16.62 or £18.63(approx. £914.10 weekly , circa £47,533.20 per annum)
\n
• Class 2 Driver days £14.60 or £16.36(approx. £803.00 weekly , circa £41,756.00 per annum)
\n
• Class 2 Driver nights £16.35 or £18.32(approx. £899.25 weekly , circa £46,761.00 per annum)

Duties:

\n
• Driving and Delivering: Operate articulated lorries (HGVs) over 3.5 tonnes, transporting goods to various locations, including local, national deliveries.
\n
• Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading of vehicles to ensure that all items are secured properly for transit, minimizing the risk of damage.
\n
• Route Planning: Plan delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as necessary.
\n
• Customer Interaction: Maintain regular contact with site personnel and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
\n
• Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• HGV C+E (Class 1 or Class 2) licence
\n
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards
\n
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
\n
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours)
\n
• Good national geographical awareness
\n
