We're Hiring: Mobile Electrical Testing Engineer 🚐🔎⚡ 📍 Manchester 💷 Competitive Salary + Company Van + Benefits 🕒 Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 💼 Permanent Position We're looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Testing Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting a portfolio of critical commercial and industrial sites across the Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Test Engineer who enjoys a mobile role, carrying out inspection, testing, planned maintenance, and fault finding while ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. ⚡ What you'll be doing: 🔧 Carrying out electrical inspection, testing, fault finding, and remedial works on LV distribution, final circuits, lighting, power, and HVAC systems 📋 Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20, BS7671, and industry best practices 🚨 Responding to critical electrical faults and safety issues to minimise downtime 📝 Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), inspections, and testing in accordance with current regulations ⚙️ Preparing site surveys, risk assessments, and method statements for planned works 💻 Maintaining accurate service reports, certification, and maintenance records 🤝 Liaising with customers, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure excellent service delivery 💡 Identifying opportunities to improve system performance and maintenance processes 🦺 Working safely while following all Health & Safety and electrical safety procedures 👷♂️ What we're looking for: 🔹 City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation 🔹 18th Edition Wiring Regulations 🔹 City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing qualification 🔹 Experience carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and fault finding within commercial, industrial, or critical environments 🔹 Strong understanding of LV electrical distribution systems 🔹 Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals 🔹 Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and communication skills 🔹 Full UK Driving Licence ⭐ Desirable: ✅ Experience working within Facilities Management or industrial environments ✅ Knowledge of power system coordination and industrial electrical infrastructure ✅ Experience preparing technical documentation including RAMS and work requests 💼 What's on offer: 💷 Competitive salary 🚐 Company van provided 🕒 Monday to Friday working hours ⏰ Overtime opportunities available 📈 Long-term career progression with a leading Facilities Management provider 🎓 Ongoing training and professional development 🔒 Permanent role with excellent benefits and career stability ⚡ If you're a qualified Electrical Testing Engineer looking for a new mobile opportunity with a respected Facilities Management company, we'd love to hear from you
