Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a fast-growing part of the RAC, dedicated to delivering planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members—right from their driveway to their workplace car park.

Where You’ll Work\n

You’ll be part of the Stevenage cluster, covering areas like Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, and Hertford. Enjoy the freedom of being out on the road, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments—no reactive callouts, just organized, pre-booked work where you can focus on doing the job right.

Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, with each job pre-booked and the member expecting you. You’ll carry out:

What You’ll Need\n

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Either an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
\n
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
\n
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
\n
