Site Engineer – Residential Groundworks & Civil Engineering\nLocation: East Midlands\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent\nSalary: Competitive (DOE) + Company Benefits\n\nAbout the Company\nOur client is a leading residential groundworks and civil engineering contractor with an annual turnover of approximately £80 million, delivering infrastructure and groundwork packages for some of the UK's largest housebuilders across the Midlands region.\n\nWith a strong reputation for technical excellence, quality delivery, and long-standing client relationships, the business continues to grow and has secured a substantial pipeline of work across the East Midlands.\nDue to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their operational team.\n\nThe Role\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Site Engineer with experience in residential groundworks and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering and technical delivery of multiple schemes, ensuring works are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications.\n\nWorking closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, and the wider operational team, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards and programme delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n•\tCarry out setting out for roads, sewers, drainage, foundations, and associated infrastructure works\n•\tEnsure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site requirements\n•\tProduce accurate site surveys and as-built records\n•\tMonitor and maintain quality assurance procedures on site\n•\tCoordinate with Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery\n•\tIdentify and resolve technical issues as they arise\n•\tMaintain accurate site records and engineering documentation\n•\tEnsure compliance with health & safety procedures and company standards\n•\tAssist with planning and sequencing of works to meet programme requirements\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n•\tProven experience as a Site Engineer within residential groundworks or civil engineering\n•\tStrong understanding of roads, drainage, foundations, and infrastructure packages\n•\tExperience using GPS and robotic total station equipment\n•\tAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications\n•\tStrong communication and organisational skills\n•\tGood understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation\n•\tCSCS Card required\n•\tRelevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n•\tCompetitive salary depending on experience\n•\tCompany vehicle or car allowance\n•\tPension scheme and additional company benefits\n•\tOpportunity to join a successful £80m turnover contractor with a strong order book\n•\tLong-term career progression and development opportunities\n•\tExposure to major residential infrastructure projects across the East Midlands
