Teaching Assistant - Complex Learning Needs School Make a Difference Every Day Are you a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Tradewind are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children who have Complex Learning Needs School. We are seeking people to join a team who provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with a wide range of complex learning needs, including autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), communication needs, sensory impairments, and associated medical or physical needs. Every day will bring new opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of children. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils in accessing a personalised curriculum and achieving their full potential. You will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment while promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Support pupils with complex learning needs in lessons and throughout the school day. Deliver individual and small-group interventions under the guidance of the class teacher. Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes. Support pupils with personal care, feeding, mobility, and medical needs where required. Encourage positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing approaches. Help prepare learning resources and maintain an organised classroom environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals to meet each pupil's individual needs. Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of every child. Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential). Is willing to learn and undertake relevant training.
